Synopsis:

Independent final comprehensive work for the Master's degree study programme. A student will choose a topic from a range of topics related to his or her branch of study, which will be specified by branch department or branch departments. The thesis will be defended in front of the board of examiners for the comprehensive final examination.

The aim of Master thesis is to prove the student´s ability to apply theoretical knowledge to solution of concrete problems of health care practice, to utilize knowledge from different courses, evaluate interrelated connections, orientate in literature and use it creatively when solving particular topic. After consultation with the thesis supervisor, the student defines structure, time schedule, methods of data acquisition (e.g. measurement) and processing and evaluation of results of the selected Master thesis topic. The thesis is reviewed by the supervisor and a reviewer. The reviewer is proposed by the supervisor and approved by the study branch guarantor.
