The aim of the course is to provide for students necessary competences for feasibility study and business plan elaboration, to explain methods for construction, financial management and evaluation of a business plan/project. Students are able to understand accesses used on tactical and operational managerial levels.

1. Components of tactical management used by strategy implementation
Range of tactical management, tactical management as a tool of performance growth of the firms. Feasibility study - assessment of business plan/project. Strategies used by performance rising .
2. Business plan
Content and structure of the business plan. Scenarios and their projection into the business plan. Strategic alternatives - a tool of preserving flexibility in the business plan. Business plan evaluation from a perspective of investor
3. Operational management
Content of operational management. Production processes. Process performance management. Operational performance indicators. Organisational ensuring of product development within processes. ABC, ABCM, ABM. Operational budgeting, value chain, cost allocation, cost benchmarking. Balance of market and operational strategies.
4. Marketing outcomes of business plan
Marketing management, Marketing growth sterategies. Parameters of the marketing plan. Price product strategies. Marketing audit and controlling. Customers typology, communikaton with the customers. Marketing and operational management.
5. Financial plan as a tool of firm´s performance management
Resources for financing a plan/project. Structure of financial resources (equity, long-term debt, (loans, bonds, financial leasing, venture capital), short-term debt). Capital structure as a result of financial decision making. Asset structure and working capital. Assessment of factors with impact on the choice and capital structure.
6. Techniques of financial plan construction
Planned profit and loss statement. [Revenues planning. Cost planning (derived from calculations). Profit management. Dividend policy. Planned balance sheet (derived from revenues and activity indicators). Fix assets volume management. Working capital management. Assets financing decision]. Planned Cash-flow (designed by direct methodology and indirect methodology).
7. Tools of financial plan management (2 lessons)
Application of financial indicators in business plan performance management. Indicators supporting investment decision making. Tangible effectiveness management for firm´s growth. Working capital management indicators. Capital structure management indicators. Performance prediction indicators. Modern tools of financial performance measurement. Financial controlling procedures.
8. Managerial profit management (2 lessons)
Profit functions. Profit-volume management of a plan/project. ABC methodology - process performance. BEP - outputs for business plan. Operational leverage. Time-sensitivity testing of a plan/project. Time sensitivity with regard to plan´s/project´s form of financing. Financial leverage impact on equity costs and WACC. Total leverage of a plan/project.
9. Firm´s growth management based on implemented business plan
Growth´s types in dependence on availability of financial resources. Permanent growth and balanced growth. Evaluation of optimal firm´s growth.
10. Business plan evaluation from a perspective of investor

. describe the structure of Master budget;
. choose relevant data for firm´s management on tactical and operational levels;
. analyse risk impact in business plan´s performance;
