- Synopsis:
-
State of the art of general movement analysis. Review of the different kind of sensors that can be potentially used within the evaluation of position or movement. Important parameters of devices in general. HW and SW concept such systems. Historical context of principles, methods and tools development of existing and new technical solutions systems for diagnostics based on the immediate position of eyes, extremities, head, shoulders and body particularly in clinical neurology. New and innovative solutions based on utilization of digital still cameras, videotechnology, digital image processing methods, modern image sensors and MoCap systems as well are described in detail. List of relevant systems: eye position evaluation systems, head and shoulders position evaluation systems, body position evaluation systems, the so called craniocorpography (CCG) and posturography and extremities position evaluation systems. Possibilities of integration of all subsystems into the one compact system. Comparison of selected methods and devices. Current development trends. 3D optical motion capture, 2D optical motion capture, inertial motion capture, 3D scanning. ART tracking. Body motion capturing using Kinect. VICON and QUALISYS system. Comparison of markerless and marker-based motion capture. Possibilities of photogrammetry for position evaluation. Summary of fundamental knowledge within the course.
