Synopsis:

This course provides and develops theoretically and practically oriented instructive knowledge and skills to care for patients in critical condition, both for individual patients, as well as the bulk of the wounded, sick or affected, at the emergency department and in the pre-hospital stage.

Requirements:

Knowing the course of nursing practice in emergency care.

Syllabus of lectures:

Nursing in geriatrics: the most common geriatric syndromes and their solutions.

Nursing in internal medicine with a focus on diseases of the respiratory system.

Nursing in internal medicine with a focus on diseases of the circulatory system.

Nursing in internal medicine with a focus on diseases of the digestive system.

Nursing in internal medicine with a focus on diseases of the urinary system.

Nursing in internal medicine with a focus on diseases of endocrine system.

Nursing in internal medicine with a focus on diseases of the locomotor system.

Nursing in internal medicine with a focus on blood disorders.

Nursing in internal medicine with focus on nervous system diseases.

Nursing in pediatrics.

Nursing in obstetrics and gynecology.

Nursing in Psychiatry.

Peculiarities in the treatment of specifically targeted sites (coronary unit, metabolic unit, etc.).

Syllabus of tutorials:

Specifics of the treatment of geriatric patients.

Treating patients in the asthma attack and asthma status.

Treatment of patients with heart and blood vessels.

Treatment of patients with diseases of the digestive tract.

Treating patients with kidney disease and included in the dialysis program.

Treatment of patients with diseases of the endocrine glands.

Treatment of patients with metabolic disease.

Treatment of patients with movement disorders and imobilizačním syndrome.

Treatment of patients with disease and blood, and bleeding manifestations.

Treatment of patients with stroke.

Treatment of children with a focus on different age periods.

Nursing in obstetrics and gynecology with a focus on child birth and other acute conditions.

Treatment of patients with psychiatric illness.

Study Objective:

To acquaint students with the care of patients in critical condition, both for individual patients and the bulk of the wounded, sick or affected, both at the emergency department and in the pre-hospital phase.
