Synopsis:

Noncontact optical and electronic methods for measurement of macrotopography and microtopography of surfaces. Optical methods of deformation and displacement measurement. Noncontact vibration measurements and measurements of velocity and flow using optolelectronic techniques.

2. Methods of optical microscopy

3. Modern interferometric methods

4. Optical deflectometry. Scattering methods - BRDF, TIS

5. AFM, electron microscopy methods - SEM, TEM

6. Moiré methods

7. Holographic interferometry

8. Speckle interferometry, ESPI

9. Digital photoelasticity. Correlation methods - DIC.

10. Triangulation methods. Photogrammetry.

11. Projection methods.

12. Optical coherence tomography.

13. Doppler laser vibrometry and anemometry.

Study Objective:

The aim of the course is to provide students with knowledge in the field of non-contact methods of measuring macro and microtopography of surfaces, methods of measuring deformation, stress, displacement, distance, vibration and velocity that can be applied in the field of experimental mechanics, physical and material engineering.
