Synopsis:

The pilot addition of the Intership course to the curriculum is based on the decision of the Masaryk Institute of Advanced Studies CTU in Prague (MÚVS ČVUT) to provide students with the opportunity to gain quality skills and experience during their studies. The classification of the subject of professional practice (Intership) is based on the decision of the MIAS CTU to give students the opportunity to acquire quality skills and experience during their studies. MIAS CTU supports the establishment of a relationship between students and companies and emphasizes their mutual cooperation.

Part of the study plans is short-term professional internship of a pilot nature.

Requirements:

Prerequisites for enrolling and completing the course:

The internship can be carried out either in a company proposed by the student or in our partner companies.

In the case of the student's own proposal of the company where the internship will be implemented, it is necessary to submit an Application for Company Approval (see procedure below).

Already at this moment, you can send me indicatively the basic identifying information about the company and the professional area or activities in the company that you propose in order to deepen the theoretical knowledge acquired during the study of professional subjects in the N041A program.

In the Summer Semester B232, the internship at the partner companies can usually be carried out from 4 March to 26 April 2024 (or by prior agreement with the Internship course teacher).

The duration of the internship is 1 month (160 hours in the company and 20 hours for the final evaluation with the subject teacher, a total of 180 hours) and should be carried out continuously at the partner companies (or by other agreement with the company and prior approval of the course teacher), without interruption (i.e. 4 weeks, 160 hours; working hours are set at 8 hours per day).

The exact dates are arranged by each student in the selected company and are specified in the Internship Contract (the procedure, which will be specified individually with the student later).

In addition to the full-time option, part-time would also be possible if the company confirms the total duration of the Internship of 160 hours.

List of Prerequisites for enrolling and completing the course:

1. Approved Application for Approval of the Company (the student submits his/her own proposal for the company where the internship will take place) or

concluded Internship Contract (the student implements the Internship in one of the MIAS CTU's partner companies).

2. Assignment and Evaluation of Internship (by the company).

3. Elaboration of the Final Report and Presentation.

Syllabus of lectures:
Syllabus of tutorials:

The workload will be determined individually according to company requirements.

Study Objective:

The Internship course (32ME-P-PRX1-01) could be taken by students of the 2nd - 4th semesters of the follow-up Master's degree programme N041A Innovation Project Management (MIAS CTU) starting from Summer Semester B232.

This course is not intended for Erasmus students or students of other faculties of CTU in Prague.

The main goal: connecting theory with practice.

The aim of the course is to enable students to gain skills and experience directly in partner companies and also to enable them to verify the knowledge and skills acquired in previous studies.

Study materials:

According to company requirements.
