- Synopsis:
-
MATLAB is a high-performance language for technical computing. It integrates computation, visualization, and programming in an easy-to-use environment where problems and solutions are expressed in familiar mathematical notation. The subject 'Introduction to MATLAB' provides basic knowledge about the Matlab system which can help students to solve problems in many branches and other subjects.
- Requirements:
-
It does not assume that students have any experience with MATLAB.
- Syllabus of lectures:
- Syllabus of tutorials:
-
INTRODUCTION - description of the components of the Matlab system. DATA TYPES - presentation of the types of data used in MATLAB (numeric, logicals, characters). MATRICES AND ARRAYS - how to use Matlab to generate matrices and perform mathematical operations on matrice. GRAPHICS - hOw to plot data (2D - plots, 3D - visualization). PROGRAMMING - how to use Matlab to create scripts and functions. MATHEMATICS - Symbolic and numerical solutions to algebraic and differential equations, differentiation, integration, limits.
- Study Objective:
-
The aim of the subject is to teach students how to use MATALB system which can significantly help them in their future study of maths, physics, mechanics and so on.
