- Synopsis:
-
In the subject, students will be acquainted with the theory of measurements focused on machine tool and their systems. The internationally standerdized methods formed basis for the testing of machine tool properties. Plenty of sensors and devices are used for this testing. They are often specialised utillising digital signal processing.
- Requirements:
-
Fundamental facts of machine statics and dynamics.
Basis of electrotechnics.
Principles of machine tool design.
Solution of differential equations of the second order.
- Syllabus of lectures:
-
Principles of the technical diagnostics.
Metrology of machine tool.
Standard assessment methods of ISO 230.
Sensors and device.
Data acquisition and processing.
Data analysis.
- Syllabus of tutorials:
-
Measurement of:
geometric accuracy (several methods)
static and dynamic stiffness,
thermal fields of mechanical structures.
Noise measurement.
- Study Objective:
-
The first goal is to manage some basic principles of the technical diagnostics aplied to machine tools. Machine tools (MT) have its specific properties, functions and parameters a this is their diagnostics subordinated. The next goal is to master several basic methods of the MT diagnostics. These are the methods of accuracy measurement, method of thermal behaviour of MT, static and dynamic stiffness, noise measurement. In all these cases the goal is to learn the students first the methods of testing and data acquisition and secondly also data processing and analysis.
