Synopsis:

Plastics. Rheology of polymer melts. Injection moulding, extrusion, blow moulding, forming, welding, polymer powder technology. Ceramics. Ceramic powder synthesis. Sintering and reaction sintering. Pressing, isostatic pressing, hot isostatic pressing, ceramic coatings. Composites. Curing of thermosetting resins and its quality control. Prepreg technologies, filament winding, pultrusion, resin transfer moulding, infusion techniques, spray-up moulding. Processing of thermoplastics composites. Manufacture of sandwich structures. Preparation of nanocomposites with polymer matrix. Composites with ceramics matrix. Carbon - carbon composites.
