- Garant předmětu:
- Lecturer:
- Tutor:
- Supervisor:
- Department of Energy Engineering
- Synopsis:
-
An exergy balance applied to a process (component) or a whole plant provides lost work potential (exergy) due to irreversible processes. The information can then be utilized in thermodynamic or thermo-economic optimisation process of the thermal cycle.
- Requirements:
-
Basic knowledge on Gas Dynamics, Thermodynamics and Thermal Power Plant Cycles from MS studies.
- Syllabus of lectures:
-
Reversibility and irreversibility. Entropy production of a system. Exergy concepts for closed and open system analysis. Elements of plant analysis. Exergy analysis of simple processes i.e. expansion, compression, heat transfer, mixing, chemical processes and combustion. Exergy analysis of gas and steam turbine plants. Termoeconomic applications of exergy.
