Course extends knowledge of microcomputer systems and their using in measurement and control technique. It familiarises with technology of acquiring, evaluating and processing signals using systems based on computer technique tools, namely signal processors and personal compurters equipped with data acquiring interfaces. Virtual instrumentation, graphic programmable languages LabView MATLAB/Simulink. Internal and external communication busses (SPI, I2C, CAN, ASI, etc). Design, features and programming embedded systems.

Syllabus of lectures:

1.Measurement chain, sampling in time and in levels, measurement uncertainties.

2. A/D, D/A, f/U, U/f. converters, electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) in design of measured chain.

3.Digital signals filtering, filters with finite (FIR) and infinite (IIR) impulse response. Program realisation of FIR and IIR filters

4.Algorithms and methods for digital signal evaluation Fourier and correlation analysis.

5.Digital signal processors, architecture, I/O system, special processors for measurement Instruction focused on signal processing Fixed and float point operations

6.Embedded systems.

7. Special processors, multiprocessors communication, SPI and I2C busses

8.External communication busses, CAN, ASI, MODBUS etc.

9.PC as computer for measurement and data acquirement Data acquiring modules. Electro Magnetic Compatibility and PC computer from measurement chain point of view.

10.Virtual instrumentation Using graphic programming tool LabView for virtual measurement system development

11.Interconnection of MATLAB/Simulink system with data acquiring modules
