The course is concerned with solution of various problems in fluid mechanics.

Properties of Newtonian and non-Newtonian fluids. Constitutive equations. Classification of forces acting on fluids under various conditions. Laws of conservation of mass, momentum, moment momentum, and energy in differential and integral form. Development of fluid flow models of different orders of accuracy. External and internal problems.

Solutions of internal flow problems (pipe flow and flow through channels) and external flow problems (flow past airfoils and bodies of different shapes). The applications will be chosen with respect to the specialisation of each particular student.
