PIV method, its history and development. Contemporary systems -
setup for 2D measurement and 3D measurement. Temperature and concentration measurement (PLIF). Data evaluation, statistical method. Introduction to the software support.

Practical part:
IPI measurement with basic setup.
Demonstration of measurement of parallel flow between two plates in the PIV laboratory. Measurement of flow field by PIV technique and Low Cost PIV technique. Presentation of results of solved technical problems. Comparison of measured velocity profile with theoretical equation.
