- Synopsis:
-
Fundamental thermodynamic concepts, phnomenological and microscopic interpretation. Balance laws of multicomponent systems, i.e. balance of mass - description of chemically reacting mixtures, balances of momentum, internal energy (1st Law of Thermodynamics), balance of electric and magnetic fluxes, and balance of entropy (2nd Law of Thermodynamics). The principle of minimum production of entropy in biological systems. Linear nonequilibrium thermodynamics and fundamentals of chemical kinetics.
