Types of rays. Simulations of rays interaction with condensed matter-crystals. Breaking mechanism of energetic particles. Collision cascade. Ionization and Compton´s effect. Points and volume radiation damage. Influence of radiation damage on property of metals, insulators and semiconductor. Transmutation processing during irradiation. Ion implantation. Curing of radiation damage. Technical problems with measurements of radiation doses.Measurements of speed neutron doses-conversion and direct measurements. Ray detectors and their application. Rays in machinery-technology of nuclear reactors, building of particles accelerators, defectoscopy.
