Synopsis:

Student will gain knowledge about purpose, architecture, basic functions and methodology of Enterprise Information Systems (EIS) evaluation, acquisition, implementation and effective usage of EIS. He/she will gain also basic knowledge about information strategy of enterprise and effectiveness of information technology. After passing this subject he/she will be able take a reasonable part in decision making concerning EIS, both as a member of middle man-agement staff and as a member of consultancy IT firm.

Requirements:

Processing and presentation of term work on a given topic.

Syllabus of lectures:

Information surroundings of the enterprise and its information infrastructure, basic function, architecture and life cycle of EIS, information strategy and effectiveness of EIS, acquisition, implementation and usage of EIS, managing sources of EIS and outsourcing, management information systems and enterprise information/application portals, EIS security and Internet.

Study Objective:
