Synopsis:

Definition and characterization of special welding and thermal cutting processes. Application and use of these procedures. As fusion welding processes laser beam welding (LBW), electron beam welding (EBW) and plasma arc welding (PAW) are explained. As solid-state welding processes friction welding, ultrasonic welding, diffusion welding and explosion welding are introduced. Thermite welding. Stud welding. Welding of special materials.
