Application of fluid mechanics principles in heating, ventilation and air-conditioning. Solution tools for problems concerning air flow indoors or in ducts.

Basics of fluid mechanics.
- Syllabus of lectures:

Incompressible fluid flow, kinematics and deformation of fluid element, potential flow, Euler equations, Bernoulli equation, Navier-Stokes equations, turbulence, Reynolds averaged Navier-Stokes equations, indoor air flow, experimental methods.
- Syllabus of tutorials:

Static pressure in a building, air flow in ducts, mean velocities, potential flow, air exhaust ventilation of industrial tanks, boundary layer flow, free jet, wall jet.
