The subject deals with origins and description of the most important electric
and non-electric biological signals. The principles of generation, recording and
basic properties are studied in all the signals. The studied signals involve
native and evoked biosignals, including biological signals of the heart, brain,
muscles, nervous system, auditory signals, visual system, signals from the
gastro-intestinal system etc.

The subject can be completed by final exam which may be written, oral or combined.

1.Biopotentials, stimulated and evoked, types, properties, recording, noise
2.Electroneurography, SNAP, M-wave, H-reflex, F-reflex
3.Muscle origin signals, EMG, MMG, tendon jerks
4.Cardiac depolarization vector, electrodes, elctrode systems
5.ECG signal generation, depolarization of the heart muscle
6.Vectorcardiography, isopotential maps
7.Phonocardiography, sphygmography, apexcardiography, MCG, polymethods
8.EEG signals origin, electrode systems
9.EEG signal properties, EEG rhythms, evoked EEG, MEG
10.Polysomnography. Signals in opthalmology, origins, electroretinogram, other
signals
11.Auditory signals, origin, audiometry types, evoked signals, ERA, BERA
12.Nystagmography, biosignals in obstetrics, rheography methods
13.Biological signals of other systems: gastro-intestinal system, fetal ECG,
cardiotocography
14.Experimental biosignal sensing, recording of biosignals using imaging
systems, unconventional biosignals
