- Grading of the course requires grading of the following courses:
- Structural Mechanics 3 (132SM3E)
Theory of Elasticity (132TELA) - Lecturer:
- Petr Řeřicha (gar.)
- Tutor:
- Petr Řeřicha (gar.)
- Supervisor:
- Department of Mechanics
- Synopsis:
-
Displacement method for planar frames and gridworks. Extreme effects of live load, influence lines. Stress and strain tensors, traction vector, principal stresses an directions, material strength. Finite element principles and techniques, error of the finite element solutions.
Prerequisities: The force and slope deflection methods for statically indeterminate planar frames and trusses, elementary elasticity, stresses and strains in beams, Hooke's law. 13 credits in structural mechanics and elasticity is a reasonable minimum to enter the course.
- Requirements:
-
132TELA, 132SM3E, students should have mastered the force and slope deflection methods for statically indeterminate planar frames and trusses and elementary elasticity, stresses and strains in beams, Hooke s law. 13 credits in structural mechanics and elasticity is a reasonable minimum to enter the course.
