- Grading of the course requires grading of the following courses:
- Basic Diagnostic and Therapeutical Methods I. (17MKZDT1)
- Lecturer:
- Leoš Navrátil (gar.), Věra Adámková, Aleš Hahn, Jozef Rosina
- Tutor:
- Martina Šliková
- Supervisor:
- Department of medical branches and humanities
- Synopsis:
-
The subject provides a brief, clear and integral outline of medical disciplines, particularly internal medicine. The target is to acquaint students with basic diseases, with primary and secondary prevention of internal diseases and with their diagnostics and define terms associated with the consideration of the patient health condition.
The student should be able to compare and differentiate from each other methods of health examination, describe the procedure for basic clinical examination and understand its principle and importance. He/she is supposed to have knowledge of approaches to and methods of monitoring the patient health condition.
- Requirements:
-
1.credit:80% participation and at least 2 assays presented at practical exercises on given themes
examination:
by the form of a written test to the extent of the reference literature and scope presented at lectures with focusing on physical examination of patients, knowledge of anamnesis, indications, principles and suitability of instrumental techniques employed in internal medicine (cardiology, gastroenterology, nephrology, pneumology), in sport medicine, in medical laboratories, in surgery, in gynaecology, in obstetrics, in rehabilitation medicine, in ophthalmology and in otorhinolaryngology. At least 75% of points are necessary for passing the examination.
Caution: intervals between repeated examinations must not be shorter than seven days
