Synopsis:

The subject is optional and is destined for students of bachelor stage of study. In this course are presented implementation of digital signal processing methods using signal processors. This course can register students of specialization Electronics and Communication and students of another specialization they have the knowledge in digital signal processing. For this subject is appropriate to absolve the facultative subject 31UCZ. Exercises are practical oriented.

Requirements:
Syllabus of lectures:

1. Basic DSP algorithms, requirements on signal processors (SP)

2. Architecture and structures of SP, blocks of arithmetic operations

3. Memory maps of program and data memory, memory addressing modes, DMA

4. Instruction set of SP (DSP), comparison to ....... processors

5. Fixed-point and floating-point SP arithmetic

6. Design methods of FIR digital filters

7. Implementation of FIR filters, program structures

8. Design methods of IIR digital filters

9. Implementation of IIR filters, program structures

10. Implementation of basic blocks of FFT algorithms

11. Quantization effects by fixed-point arithmetic

12. SP environment, memory connection, A/D, D/A connection, multiprocessor systems

13. Analysis of time sequences and applications in economics

14. DSP applications: Speech analysis and noise suppression

1. Introduction in MATLAB, basic functions for DSP

2. Software development tools for SP, examples of using

3. Data memory addressing

4. Instruction set, programming in assembler SP, pipelining

5. Design of FIR filters in Matlab, student projects

6. Implementation of FIR filters in assembler of SP

7. Design of IIR filters in Matlab, solving of projects

8. Implementation of IIR filters in assembler of SP, cascade structures

9. Real-time implementation, solving of student projects

10. Real-time implementation, solving of student projects

11. Real-time implementation, solving of student projects

12. Implementation of FFT algorithms, projects solving
