The subject is optional and it is destined for students of master stage of study in specialization Electronics. The course is to register in the third term of master program. In this course are presented architecture of modern digital signal processors and implementations of digital signal processing methods in real time. For registration of this course it is appropriate to have the knowledge in digital signal processing absolving subjects 31UCZ and 31CZS. Exercises are practical oriented. Students can implement complex projects concerning several subjects.

1. Basic DSP algorithms and requirements on signal processors (SP)
2. Architecture and structures of SP, basic blocks of TMS processors
3. Arithmetic units, program and data memories, memory addressing, DMA
4. Instruction set of SP (TMS), comparison to general processors
5. Fixed-point and floating-point digital signal processors, arithmetic errors
6. Microcomputer systems - external hardware connection (A/D, D/A converters, memories, .)
7. Design methods of FIR digital filters, programming in assembler
8. Design of IIR digital filters, programming in assembler, cascading of biquad sections
9. Design methods of special digital filters, examples of programming in assembler
10. FFT, DIT and DIF algorithms deriving
11. Computation of FFT algorithms, implementation procedures for SP
12. Data representation in SP, data quantization effects
13. Algorithms for discrete periodic and nonperiodic signal generation
14. Examples of applications: speech processing, noise cancellation, analysis of time sequences
