Synopsis:

Actual conception of telecommunications is determined by the interaction of three basic components: level of technical development, state of legislative environment and by the comportment of the market. Students are familiarized with those components such a way to have good COMPLEX view about (Czech and world-wide) telecommunications to allow them to apply acquired knowledge and skills during their next studies and in their future business practice.

Requirements:

Assessment conditions: active participation on excercises and preapartion and presentation of semestral project.

The exam is written and oral. The minimum requirement is 60% correct answers to the given questions.

2 Telecommunication Networks and their Structure.

3 Multiplexing Principles. Multiplex Hierarchy.

4 Transmission and Switching Systems.

5 Circuit and Packet Oriented Communication.

6 Wireless Systems. Cellular Networks.

8 Liberalization and Deregulation of Telecommunications.

9 Basic Legal Terms. Regulation of Telecommunications.

10 State Administration in Telecommunications. Standardization.

11 Telecommunication Market (Structure, Dimensions, Segmentation, Development).

12 Telecommunication Services Market. Telecommunication Equipment Market.

13 Telecommunication Operator (Structure, Key Systems, Key Activities).

14 Conclusion = Attempt on the Forecast of Future Development. Back-up Class.
