Synopsis:

An automation of production, quality control or research and development are based on the use of data acquisition systems. Different types of standardised systems, their parameters, programming, and applications are described here. Laboratories are pointing to the programming of frequently used systems using different developing tools.

Requirements:

Knowledge of C language

1. DAQ systems - overview

2. IEEE 488 Interface. Standard IEEE 488.1. SRQ, serial and parallel poll

3. Standard IEEE 488.2

4. SCPI - Standard Commands for Programmable Instruments

5. Modular systems using measuring modules with standard interfaces - structure and parameters

6. Measuring of dynamic signals using measuring modules - problems and limitations

7. Disturbing influence, accessories and signal conditioning modules, used standard interfaces - overview

8. Programming of systems using PC plug-in boards - register level

9. Programming of systems using PC plug-in boards - driver level

10. Software packages for DAQ systems programming

11. Graphical development tools for DAQ systems

12. Industrial modular systems using VMEbus and VXIbus. Industrial distributed systems.

13. Comparison of single types of DAQ systems, principle of their integration, practical aspect of design
