The course is oriented on the ancient philosophy, philosophy of science and technology and on philosophical aspects of economics and politics.

2. Pythagorean school, concept introduced by Pythagoreans, cosmology
3. Heraclitus fate and his ideas, comparison with eastern thinking

5. The teaching of Anaxagoras and Empedocles
6. Atomism, various concepts of atom, determinism and freedom
7. The Sophists, the role of subject, ancient atheism
8. Socrates, his live and teaching. Dialogical method, socratic moral paradox
9. Imperfect socratic schools, Magarians and the paradox of Liar, Cynics, Hedonics
10. Plato, live and philosophy. The realm of Forms, Platonism
