Synopsis:

The course „Database 2“ is devoted to the SQL language. Students will learn the basic SQL commands (creating tables, inserting/updating and deleting data), the various options for selecting data (including aggregation) and creating views. Students will also learn about programming on the database system side (triggers, stored procedures).

1. Database languages and their divisions. Basic data types, constants and operators in SQL. Creating domains.

2. Creating tables including foreign keys. Inserting, updating and deleting data in a table.

3-6. Selecting data from tables: general SELECT statement syntax, joining tables, conditions, aggregation functions. Unifying tables using UNION.

7. Subqueries.

8.-9. Views.

10.-11. Transactions. Triggers and stored procedures.

12.-13. Summary examples (database implementation).
