The course is delivered in the second half of the summer semester of the academic year. During the first half of the semester, only lectures take place, while in the second half only practical sessions are held.
In order to register for the practicals, students must be enrolled in the course F7PMLIMB2, or must have completed it in a previous academic year. It is not possible to attend the practicals earlier. Admission to the practicals is conditional upon passing an entrance test (three attempts are allowed). At the beginning of the practicals, students will be asked to form groups of 45 members. Within these groups, they will complete two assigned tasks each week according to the schedule.
In case of absence, students must arrange an alternative date with the task supervisor. Attendance at all tasks is compulsory. For objective reasons (e.g. illness), students may be excused from one practical session, which will not need to be made up.
Credit requirements:
Students must independently prepare reports from the tasks and submit them via Moodle within 30 days of completing the practicals, where they will be evaluated. Reports are not returned for revision. Any report not submitted will be graded F. For credit to be awarded, no more than three reports may be graded F.
The practical course is concluded with a graded oral examination, which will take place after all reports have been evaluated and after successful completion of F7PMLIMB2 (it may be held on the same day).
