The course provides an overview of the basic manufacturing processes in aerospace industry of the Czech Republic and in the world and their relationship to the design, analysis and certification of aerospace structures. The course includes specialized excursions to companies engaged in the production of aerospace structures.

1.State of art of manufacturing technologies of aerospace structures in CZ and abroad. Planning of aircraft production engineering.
2.Machining of metallic aerospace structures.
3.Forming of metallic aerospace structures.
4.Aircraft riveted structures, mechanization and automation. Bolted joints.
5.Point, seam, friction and laser beam welding of aerospace structures.
6.Non-destructive testing methods in aerospace manufacturing.
7.Surface treatment in manufacturing of aerospace structures. Resistance to environment. Chemical and electrochemical machining.
8.Heat treatment of non-ferrous metals, measuring of hardness, mechanical surface strengthening of metallic materials.
9.Manufacturing processes of propulsors.
10.Composite materials in aerospace. Manufacturing processed of composite structures.
11.Materials in aircraft interiors. Application of glass and transparent materials.
12.Bonded and sandwich structures.
13.Additive manufacturing in aerospace structures.
