- Synopsis:
-
During the course, students will be introduced to the latest trends in the conceptual creation of cities for people in the 21st century. Topics such as blue-green infrastructure, adaptation measures against climate change, but also other changes in the urban environment that can lead to sustainability for future generations will be presented.
An important process in the creation of a new environment is cooperation with interested parties or the general public. In the form of experiential learning, the course simulates some decision-making processes in the area and allows students to discuss the issue from different perspectives, not just from the designer's point of view.
The course will also include selected excursions to localities that meet the requirements of a sustainable environment.
Completion of the course will include a presentation of the environment from which the individual students come, focusing on the principles of a city for people, and a joint conceptual seminar work of the selected locality.
