The subject Financing and accounting of engineering companies introduces students to the basics of financial management of a company. Students have the opportunity to gain knowledge about the main procedures and tools of financial management and their practical application in decision-making processes. The subject introduces students to the analysis and interpretation of financial balance sheets, the management of the working capital of the company, various forms of financing the company and methods of management and evaluation of investments in production technologies, accounting reporting, principles, principles and information potential of accounting.
- Requirements:

Active participation in exercises during the semester, solving assigned tasks and defending their results, presenting and defending the assigned topic of the seminar work. For students of the combined form of study, 50% participation in exercises, solutions of assigned examples and seminar work is required.

1. Introduction to business financing - tasks and functions of financial management, financial goals and business liquidity
2. Structure, analysis, interpretation of the company's financial balance sheets
3. Evaluation of the company's financial performance
4. Management of working capital – management of corporate receivables and inventories
5. Standard and innovative ways of financing businesses
6. Information base, creation, evaluation and control of the company's financial plans
7. Characteristics of investment decision-making, methods of evaluating the effectiveness and risks of investment projects
8. Characteristics, information potential, managerial importance of corporate accounting
9. Principles of accounting, the profit equation as an expression of the balance of assets and liabilities
10. Concept, structure, information potential of financial statements and their importance for the technician.
11. Basics of the accounting methodology of an industrial enterprise, recording the effects of accounting transactions in accounting statements, synthetic and analytical accounts.
12. Scope of the corporate and intra-corporate accounting system and their connection
13. The process of accounting records of assets, liabilities and costs of the production enterprise

The aim of the subject is to acquaint students with the meaning, role, procedures and tools of financial management and accounting of an engineering company. Emphasis is placed primarily on the interpretation and use of financial and accounting information for business management, the nature and purpose of financial balance sheets, measurement and the effects of managerial decisions on the financial performance and position of the business. Furthermore, the subject introduces students to various forms of business financing, methods of management and evaluation of investments in production technologies, accounting reporting, principles and information potential of accounting, effects of accounting transactions on accounting statements, processes of accounting records of assets, liabilities and costs of a manufacturing company.
