Aircraft structural and conceptual design types - definitions and basic knowledge of the problem. Development of requirements, aircraft definitions and categorisation. Aircraft loadings. Systems of primary and secondary airframe structure. Airframe and propulsion unit. Lectures are devoted to aeroplane topics.

Participation in at least 5 exercises
Absence from 3 seminars can be replaced by a term paper of at least 6 pages
Absence from 4 or more exercises will be solved individually
Test and oral exam - 4 questions
Each question is from a different area, so all questions must be rated „E“ and better

To gain of essential overview in the area of aircraft technology and categorization of aircraft. To prepare students for technical decision-making relevant to questions of aircraft operational technology for civil air operators and organisations of civil aviation. Knowledge of this subject provides basic orientation in aircraft structural design.
