The course is focused on the arrangement of atoms in the structure of solids. Structures of interest from metallic substances to molecular crystals are discussed. The course also deals with the possibilities of observing the atomic structure using X-rays, both in terms of average and local structure. The aim of the course is also the use and acquisition of special programs designed to study and analyze the structure and microstructure of solids.
