Synopsis:

Within this subject, the student will be introduced to the English terminology used in selected topics from social psychology, (listening, understanding) and the use of common phrase used in English communication will be reflected. Those areas of interpersonal communication that students can most often encounter in practice will be chosen. Topics like Negotiation, Assertion, Manipulation, Verbal and Non verbal Communication will be discussed and trained. Introduction to the art of negotiation and practical aspects how to negotiate. Verbal and non-verbal communication. Manipulation and how to avoid it. Soft skills, emotional intelligence.

Requirements:

Will be delivered individually, including the hand-outs.

Syllabus of lectures:

Negotiation skills are qualities that allow two or more sides to reach a compromise. These are often soft skills such as communication, persuasion, planning, strategizing and cooperating. Understanding these skills is the first step to becoming a stronger negotiator.

Understanding of text presented by native speakers, ability to react in practical communication.

Syllabus of tutorials:

Listening - understanding- practicing texts as presented by native speakers. Current issues available by the Internet.

Study Objective:

To improve knowledge of social psychological terminology and practical training of communication skills.
