Synopsis:

The course aims to introduce diagnostics of civil engineering structures, mechanical, thermal, hygric, chemical and others influences of genesis of failure of civil engineering structures, specificaly on engineering structures (bridges, footbridges, halls etc.). During thecourse students will introduce with behavior of engineering structures, structural and material failures, testing devices for diagnostics and data evaluation.

Requirements:
Syllabus of lectures:

1. introduction to the diagnostics of the engineering structures

2. Diagnostics of structural failures.

3. Failures of engineering structures focused on bridges, footbridges, halls etc.

4. Failures of civil engineering materials, mechanical, thermal, chemical, and other influences of genesis of failure of engineering materials

5. Testing devices and machines for diagnostics of engineering structures.

6. Testing devices for diagnostics of deformation and displacements

7. Destructive investigation of mechanical characteristicsof civil engineering materials

8. Nondestructive testing methods.

9. Chemical analyses.

10. Testing methodology of some civil engineering material (concrete, plaster, steel, wood, glass, plastics, composites etc.).

11. Testing methodology of typical engineering structures

12. Devices and methodology for diagnostics of civil engineering materials

13. Devices and methodology for diagnostics of engineering structures (static and dynamic testing load
