The course of the Experimental Biomechanics presents a summary of up-to-date experimental techniques, explains their principles, and also gives an opportunity to participate in laboratory experiment.

Mathematical description of motion and its manifestation

Principles of measurement of point position

Principles of deformation measurement

Optical and image-based methods for displacement and velocity field measurement

Ultrasonic methods

Measurement of force interaction (force transducers, pressure transducers, manometers)

Measurement of residual strain

Concepts of tensile tests

Inflation-extension tests (tubes, membranes)

In vivo measurement

Statistical concepts

Inferential statistics and hypothesis testing
