Students will learn methods of controlled vibration damping of mechanical systems.
Basic methods of active vibration suppression, active and semi-active methods.
Actuators, sensors and their dynamic properties for controlled active structures, technological implementation.
Dynamic models of controlled active structures. Methods of model reduction,connection of partial models,
identification of models in open and closed loop.
Basic physical principles of active structures control.
Modal observability and controllability. Type and positioning of sensors and actuators.
Collocated and non-collocated control of active structures. Spillover phenomenon. Dissipative and collocated control of structures.
Various feedbacks. Using robust control methods for structures. LQG, H2, Hinf.
Control of damping and stiffness of controlled active structures.
Centralized and decentralized control of structures. Nonlinear control methods for structure control.
