•Issues of sustainable power generation.

•Advanced power generation systems and the factors that form them.

•Energy engineering at the early 21st century.

•Theoretical physical limits, technological, ecological and economical potentials of energy sources.

•Non-renewable resources depletion effects.

•Increased use of new and renewable energy sources.

•Power engineering machines and systems as elemental components of conversion chains for temporal- and spatialoptimal application of potentials conventional and alternative energy sources.

•Conceptual design of advanced power systems in centralized power generation.

•Conceptual design of advanced power systems in distributed power generation.

•Efficiency of energy sources utilization and its limits.

•Social aspects of energy engineering.

Content of lectures will be modified according to the thesis subject.
