Synopsis:

The course is focused on transport processes in solids. The emphasis is put on the structure of solid state matter,

monocrystals, polycrystals, amorphous matter. Defects of crystal grid. Kinetics of diffusion. Mechanism of diffusion – vacancies, interstitial and exchange mechanism. Calculation of diffusion coefficients, correlation mechanism. Special sorts of diffusions – mixture type of diffusion, crowdion diffusion. Continuity equation, Fick’s equations. Mathematics resolves of Fick’s equations for various types of diffusion sources and various types of enviroments. Tensor of diffusion coefficient. Methods for electric, rentgenografic and mechanic investigating diffusion profiles.
