Supervisor:
Department of Construction Management and Economics
Synopsis:

The course offers the opportunity to deal with the issue of managerial and information modeling of various types of technical and economic processes. The study is verified on own application or hypothetical example. In the case of information modeling, the content basis is a penetration into the issues in the field of construction. The advantage is possibility to focus the outputs from the subject and use them in the processed doctoral thesis. General outline:

1. Research of possibilities with a link to the topic of seminar paper.

2. Defining an application or scientific example for managerial or information model creation.

3. Decomposition of the task and specification of the elements of the model.

4. Design of mathematical model structure and choice of modelling environment.

5. Model implementation in suitable software environment.

6. Behaviour analysis and testing of assembled model.

7. Definition of risk factors in model structure, specification of their impacts on resulting behaviour.

8. Investigation of possibilities of BIM, PIM, AIM management tools.

9. Analysis of implementation possibilities of information model.

10. Analysis and consideration of possibilities of different types of analysis (stability, sensitivity, risk, statistical).

11. Definition and processing of output information from solved task.

Requirements:

Not specified.

Syllabus of lectures:

The subject is designed as a contact individual form of teaching according to doctoral thesis.

Syllabus of tutorials:

The subject is designed as a contact individual form of teaching according to doctoral thesis.

Study Objective:

The result of the processed problem is the definition of application or scientific example for the elaboration of a managerial or information model. Next step is the design of the structure of the mathematical model, the choice of the modeling environment and the implementation of the model in the environment of suitable software. The model can examine risk factors, specify their effects on the resulting behavior. The result can be different types of analyzes (stability, sensitivity, risk, statistical) performed on the model and their evaluation.
