Synopsis:

The subject provides a basic overview of project management. It defines the life cycle of a construction project. Content of individual phases of the project life cycle. Preparation and evaluation of the construction project.

Requirements:

Submission of the work within the prescribed time and scope (see Moodle system).

Compulsory attendance in class, maximum 3 excused absences.

Continuous correction of work and checking during the course.

Successful completion of the credit test.

Syllabus of lectures:

1. Construction project, project life cycle, construction project stakeholders

2. Legislative framework (real estate cadastre, etc.)

3. Project management standards, basic principles

4. Pre-project phase inputs for decisions on project implementation, project surroundings, calculation

5. Pre-project phase investment decision-making

6. Pre-project phase financial decision-making

7. Project phase project planning WBS, OBS, RAM, communication

8. Project phase procurement, supplier preparation

9. Project phase risks

10. Project phase controlling, changes

11. Project phase project implementation

12. Post-project phase project evaluation

13. Post-implementation analysis of the project

Syllabus of tutorials:

Project proposal, stakeholders, stakeholder analysis, Logical framework, project plan, responsibility assignment matrix (RAM), organisational breakdown structure (OBS), work breakdown structure (WBS, project communication, procurement, project risk, efficiency evaluation, investment decision a project evaluaiton, project realization control

Study Objective:

The student knows the basics of project management. He can evaluate a simple construction project and process selected parts of the project plan.
