Synopsis:

The course is devoted to a mathematical structure, spectral properties and applications of quantum Markov processes. Knowledge of fundamentals of open quantum systems is expected.

1. Microscopic derivation, Nakajima-Zwanzig equation, weak coupling limit, master equation for particular quantum systems

2. Spectral properties, asymptotic spaces in Schrödinger and Heisenberg picture, attractor equations, convergence rate, perturbation theory

3. Thermodynamics of quantum Markov processes, entropy measures and their properties, maximum entropy principle, entropy production, generalized Gibbs states
