Synopsis:

In this course, students will learn the basic principles of mechanics and their application in the calculation of stresses in members and member stability. Wall and slab typology will also be covered, including loads and basic assumptions for designing structures on the computer.

Requirements:

1) Basic equations of elasticity - equilibrium conditions, geometric equations, physical equations

2) Deformation of beam

3) Bending of beam - elastic stress

4) Bending of beam - plastic stress

5) Bending of beam - shear stress

6) test 1

7) Free torsion, undetermined static tension, pressure and torsion

8) Stability of beam

9) Wall - basic assumptions, plane tension, examples of action

10) plate bending - basic assumptions, plane tension, examples of action

11) Loading

12) Load distribution with respect to computer design
