The aim of the course is to acquaint students with basic concepts in the field of social communication, to illustrate them various aspects of effective communication planning on practical demonstrations, and to prepare them for possible situations where they will be forced to communicate with the general public in their practice.



Syllabus of lectures:

1.Introduction of the course, course contents, attestation conditions.

2.Fundamentals of communication theory, basic concepts, communication on professional topics.

3.Main objective and sub-goals of communication - examples from practice.

4.Target groups and basic communication, the role of sociological research.

5.Communication channels, their choice, and suitability - examples from practice.

6.The form of processing of basic communication messages - examples from practice.

7.Communication strategies and communication tactics - examples from practice.

8.Specific requirements for the processing of communication messages from the field.

9.Traditional and new media and their use - examples from practice.

10.Media Literacy - Identification of extreme opinions and ways of defending them.

11.Crisis communication and its specifics.

12.Preparation of communication strategy - a comprehensive solution to the example from practice.
