Synopsis:

Topic subject of the learning is genesis of town development and town planning in the world, in the bohemian territory and in the capital town of Prague. Other topics are concerned present construction law in Czech Republic in the sphere of town planning. There is a view of types of town planning documents and demarcation of competences in the processes of plan procurement.

Requirements:

It builds on the subjects Urbanism 1 and Urbanism 2

Syllabus of lectures:

Lecture circuits: urban context of planned development of settlement structures in past periods. Charter of Modern Urbanism. Spatial planning systems in the European context. Development of land-use planning legislation in the Czech area. Current legislative environment in relation to spatial planning. Planning authorities. Objectives and tasks of spatial planning. Spatial planning tools. Land-use planning documents. Territory limits. Values of the territory with an emphasis on the urban values of the territory. Problem drawing. Analysis of sustainable development of the territory. Spatial development policy. Land-use planning documentation. Urban context of the development of the settlement structure and the development of the City of Prague. Prague zoning plan. Methodological tools for territorial regulation. Zoning decision. Two types of zoning measures.
