Synopsis:

Fundamental terms, information systems architecture, basic types of software applications for information system of enterprise, information system lifecycle, approaches to information system development, business process modeling using BPMN, UML and others, information system modeling - UML and data modeling.

Syllabus of lectures:

1. Explanation of keywords

2-3. Modeling procesess using Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN)

4. Modeling requirements on information system using Unified Modeling Lanuguage (UML)

5. Data modeling using ER diagram

6. Information systems architecture, basic types of information systems

7. Information systems lifecycle, approaches to information system development

Syllabus of tutorials:

Analysis of business processes and information systems requirements specification.

Study Objective:

Goal of the subject is to gain basic knowledge in branch of information systems and ability to create process models using BPMN, specify ruquirements on information system using UML and understand data structure of enterprise database. Course also gives basic overview of principles of development of information systems and orientation in types of information systems.
