Synopsis:

The subject of the study is focused to the relation among hydraulic structures - weirs, dams, navigation structures and hydropower plants - and the environment. Students get further acquainted about the problems of the analysis of hydraulic structures to the environment and about possibilities to eliminate or reduce adverse impacts (with the help of practical examples).

Study Objective:

To familiarize students with the historical development, current developments and future outlook in the field of interaction of water structures, especially dams, with the environment.
