Synopsis:

An optional subject expanding knowledge about irrigation systems, as an extension of the compulsory subject 143ZAOS. Teaching takes place mainly in the field, on excursions or through discussions at lectures by practitioners. The subject is suitable preparation (supplementing knowledge) for the preparation of a bachelor's thesis.

1. Introductory seminar, organization, conditions.

2. The importance of irrigation systems in conditions of climate change.

3. Irrigation systems in cities as support for Blue-Green infrastructure elements (green roofs, green walls, facade root treatment plants, etc.)

4. Modern irrigation systems in the countryside and in agriculture (elements of micro-irrigation, pivot irrigation machines, golf irrigation systems).

5. Experience from the world, trends for the future.

6. Presentation of student excursions
