Synopsis:

Progressive technological procedures resulting from the latest findings of construction research. Special technologies for demolition and recycling of buildings. Technologies for special foundations. Trenchless technologies for the implementation of utility networks. Balneotechnics. Drainage engineering. Special technologies for load-bearing structures. Special technologies for building cladding. Special technologies for finishing works. Special construction chemistry. Technologies for sustainable construction. Robotic technologies in construction. Historic building technologies and crafts. The course includes case studies with an emphasis on foreign implementations. Lectures are delivered by a combination of tribal staff and practitioners with international experience.

Requirements:

Passing the examination in the form of a written test.

1. Special technologies for demolition and recycling of buildings

2. Special foundation technologies - micropiles, jet grouting, subgrade compaction, etc.

3. Urban engineering. Trenchless technologies for utility construction

4. Balneotechnics. Drainage engineering.

5. Special technologies of load-bearing structures - UHPC, CLT panels

6. Special technologies of load bearing structures - glass, composite, etc.

7. Special technologies for building cladding.

8. Special technologies for finishing works - floors, partitions, ceilings

9. Special technologies for finishing works - plaster, tiles, screeds

10. Special construction chemistry (sealants, grouts, grouting and remediation compounds, paints, varnishes, etc.)

11. Technologies for sustainable construction

12. Robotic technologies in construction

13. Historic building technologies and crafts (vaulting, historic carpentry, blacksmithing, plastering, stonemasonry, etc.)

Study Objective:

The aim of the course is to acquaint students with a rich typology of special construction technologies covering all stages of construction of civil engineering structures. Special focus is given to promising directions of construction technology such as sustainability, robotics, urban engineering and historical construction technologies.
