Synopsis:

Cell compartments structure and functions. Protein structure and function. Enzymes as catalysts. Bioenergetics. Biological oxidation. Biogenic amines. Hormones biochemistry, hormonal regulation. Biologicaly significant radicals. Metabolism of sacharides, lipids and lipoproteins, amino-acids, proteins, nucleotides and nucleic acids. Regulation of metabolism on a cell and organ level. Biochemistry of the intestinal tract, pancreas, biochemistry of liver and xenobotics metabolism. Biochemistry of kidneys. Biochemistry of tetrapyrols and porfyrins. Biochemistry of muscles, bones. Biochemistry of nervous system. Biochemistry of blood, hemocoagulation process and fibrinolisys. Metabolism of body fluids and ions, acidobasic balance.

Requirements:

Credit condition: attendance min. 80%, succesfull passing of written tests, basic biochemical compounds formulae, chosen theme presentation on seminary

Exam condition: succesfull passing of written test, 30 questions, one correct answer, success in obtaining at least 60% accuracy, oral exam

1.Clinical biochemistry, clinical laboratory.

2.Clinical biochemistry visceral liquid, ions, acidobazic equilibrium.

3.Clinical biochemistry of cardiovasculary system.

4.Clinical biochemistry of liver, pancreas and metabolic diseases.

5.Clinical biochemistry of reniculus, muscles and sceleton.

6.Biochemistry of hormonal system

7.Biochemistry of vision.

7. Controlling of water metabolism and acid-base balance

Study Objective:

Mastering of theroretical biochemistry knowledge. Mastering of metabolism overview, and its relations with natural moleculs chemistry.
